That was Saad, driving back from Snoqualmie on I-90, forcing down the biggest name on the shelf — syrupy, with that bitter stevia aftertaste. He turned to Omashka and asked: why is the thing that’s supposed to take care of us every day so hard to drink every day?
We couldn’t let it go. Thread after thread on Reddit, strangers wanted the same things we did: real fruit, gentle on the stomach, no stevia, nothing artificial. Most had simply stopped expecting it.
So we took it to our kitchen, the way we had with our last startup. Omashka led the flavors, tasting batch after batch until each one tasted like something from a spa menu.
Then we asked people we trust to be tough on it: a physician advisory board led by Dr. Wajiha Khan and Dr. Shabaaz Baig, with backgrounds in gastroenterology and anesthesiology. Their input shaped a low-osmolality formula designed to be easy on digestion — made for everyday drinkers and for people who take their hydration seriously.
We shared the first batches with friends and Seattle run clubs, then with yoga studios in Jersey City. Now we’re growing in New York.
